It sells footwear, textiles, basketry, hats, objects and materials of a religious purpose. The heart of Madrid is La Puerto del Sol. It is an oval area surrounded by buildings of the XVIII century. Madrid has Europe's largest Royal Palace. Its construction began in 1734, designed by Italian masters Sacchetti and Sabatini. King Alfonso XIII was the last, who lived in this man-made miracle. During the tour of the palace you will see a lot of ornate Flemish and Spanish tapestries and precious hours of premises. Madrid is famous for its magnificent park ensemble. Buen Retiro Park was built in the XVII century. Fountains, statues and elegant Crystal Palace Park gives the spirit of the royal garden. Near it, there is Royal Botanical Garden with wonderful scenery of landmarks. The city offers many different entertainments. Tourists can stay at one of the best hotels in the city.
