Kuala Lumpur is a wonderful and unusual city and the largest one in Malaysia. The city is a perfect destination for tourists. This magnificent city has grown from the camp of geologists 140 years ago. At the end of the 19th century the city became the centre of Federation of sultans and after the Second World War it became the capital of Malaysia. The city is rich in exciting sightseeing. The architecture of the city was influenced by the Asian traditions, modern and postmodern architecture and Malay Islamic inspirations. Most of the colonial buildings of the city were built at the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The style of these building is Neo-Gothic, Grecian-Spanish, Tudor and others. The perfect examples of these buildings are Menara Telecom, Dayabumi Complex and others. The city has many magnificent parks and green gardens. The most amazing and fantastic is the Perdana Lake Gardens, placed not far from the Malaysian Parliament building. This large area contains the Butterfly Park, wonderful Deer Park, beautiful Orchid Garden, magnificent Hibiscus Garden and others. All of these charming and memorable places provide the most excellent scenery of nature and interesting entertainments and different activities. The city has rich cultural life. There are many museums and galleries, theatres and cinemas. The most popular is National Museum, located along Mahameru Highway. The museum presents the collection of ancient artifacts and paintings. The building has Minangkabau architecture. It also includes some galleries. There is one more the Islamic Arts Museum, which includes more then six thousand Islamic artifacts, art books and several collections. There are so many places which are worth visiting. All of them are located at different part of the city. Kuala Lumpur offers well-developed transport system, which allows to reach all necessary places as quickly as possible. The city also has many luxurious hotels and middle-ranged ones, with modern furniture and comfortable beds. All of them provide the best treatment and excellent entertainments.
